August 27 drive through Acadia National Park, Mt. Desert, ME and back to Freeport, ME
It is one hell of a gorgeous day!!! FINALLY. It has been 9 DAYS of rain an fog. Today Rod and Nancy and friends take off in their sailboat and we visit Acadia. We had such a great day, but who wouldn’t in this magnificent place? PUT THIS ON YOUR LIST!

We spent most of the day in Acadia and promised ourselves that we would return to travel through by boat through the beautiful islands and harbors surrounding Mt Desert.
Finally we headed back to Freeport to return the car, check on the dinghy and prepare to set out the next day. What a lovely day and driving back through all those little Maine towns (Bar Harbor to S. Freeport) was so much fun.
