August 28 Freeport, ME to York, ME

I am so excited to be back on the water!!  We’ve been off the water for 9 days!!  Goodbye Freeport!!

I guess i’m getting braver because if the waters are calm i will pull one of the teak chairs back underneath the flybridge ladder and sit in the sun and read while under way.  I pull it close to the ladder so that i can grab hold quick if need be. If there’s a picture of me doing this then the weather’s great - if not, i’m not able to move safely about and so i stay seated in my usual place on the helm chair - making little movement.

We were pleasantly surprised with York, it was a fun place to stop.  We walked and had a good lunch, took a nice long walk through some woods and then took the dinghy over for dinner at a place that looked and felt like sitting below in a boat (WTH?).  After a few minutes i told harry, who had already made new friends at the bar, that i was not going to eat dinner in the ‘below quarters’ after boating all day….i tried to persuade him to stay ‘below’ and chat but he soon joined me upstairs where there was a guitar player and much more openness.   Restaurant called, York Harbor Inn.

Another Fairy sighting!  and no, Harry never saw it...
