Saturday, June 6th - Stay over day - Deltaville, VA
Needless to say we stayed put due to post ‘sea traumatic’ stress. Harry kept telling me how calm he heard it was ‘out there.’ Well out there is no place i wanted to be, ever again. I was now afraid of the Chesapeake Bay. So i spent the entire day on the internet in the marina office looking up ‘the best of the best weather apps’. I downloaded onto my iPad (thank you very much Betty Ann), Windfinder, Weather Underground, AccuWeather, BuoyWeather, NOAA, and Boat USA. Richard, are there any more you can think of that i should have? and by the way, you better not be laughing at me when you read all this, Mr. Professional Captain!

As you can tell i’m writing about this day many days after the fact….it’s best - i had to let it soak in and perhaps allow the fear to fade away a bit - sorta like childbirth.
During a walk i found a lovely creek. I was very drawn to it. maybe because the waters were so still - unlike yesterday.
We met up with some folks to talk about the rough seas yesterday and it was decided that the waves were 6ft to 7ft with winds up to and over 25 knots. so now i knew when not to go out when looking at those weather apps. More prepared - i knew this was the only way to conquer the fear.
