August 3 & 4 - S. Freeport, ME to Potts Harbor, ME (Dolphin Restaurant and Marina)
Nice ride to Potts Harbor, not far away and pretty protected all along the way.  I asked harry to take a picture me driving…..well hell fire, you can’t even tell i’m driving…i could be doing the dishes for all this shows…HA.

It is oh so fun crusing on a day like this…..you feel blessed….as opposed to those ‘other days’ when you feel more cursed…

This place comes highly recommended by many.

They have nice dock hands, a great restaurant and deliver HUGE blueberry muffins to your boat in the morning!!!  It is a long running family establishment - the dock master was great and very attentive and he was also served as the restaurant’s bartender and poured a mean drink.

We walked around the first day and even spent some time on the beach there.  I realized that we're on the water constantly but rarely are we on the beach.   Bethany, what kind of rock is this?  it looks like petrified wood.  I searched long and hard for a good heart rock but these guys tend to be more angular rocks than smooth rounded rocks.

Our second day there started out with fog but cleared and we ventured into town using their courtesy car/white ford pickup!!
But the day ended (4/5pm) in a huge storm...check it out.  Jan Dudley i first started to take pictures for you and then i couldn’t stop - amazing storm clouds and just a bit of rain (later with the sun out).

Our young neighbors Justin and Jillian taking pictures.  They're have an older Egg Harbor refurbished and hope to do what we're doing one day (in a bigger boat they say).  Cute couple.

These have become some of my most favorite pictures.  I love watching a storm as long as i’m securely tied in a slip.  Believe it or not this massive looking storm never really dumped on us.  The wind really picked up for maybe less than a minute…..then it was gone, on its way somewhere else.

As usual, after the storm, or i should say after the clouds moved out the evening was very cool but lovely with its golden sunset.   Our second night dining in the Dolphin restaurant was full of boaters and people very glad to have such a lovely shelter.  the place felt full of merriment.  or at least we had a good time.

Cashmere in August!!
