July 24 through July 27 - Portsmouth, NH at Nancy and Rod’s 

First let me introduce the main man, Miles Martens Van Sciver.  

Here he is with his Nanna and his Dad, Jed Van Sciver.

Here he is with his dear friend Priscilla, Jed’s girlfriend.

Here he is driving Uncle Harry’s boat.

Here he is eating lobster - he was SO fascinated by the pincher claws, the antenna, the little walkie legs and the tail fin, but he never once hesitated in his thought of eating it. (or so it seemed to me).

Here is Jed and Priscilla getting a slight reprieve while Nanna and Fa tend to Miles.

Here he is with his Fa and Nanna, enthralled watching Peter Pan on stage live at Prescott Park.  It was a joy watching him experience live theatre…and to see the actors fly around the state was so special for him.  Every time the audience would applaud he would ask, ‘is it over?’   so afraid it was ending too soon.  FYI:  a day earlier Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn were at Prescott Park!  The Decemberist were just there!  And wonderful summer music series if you’re ever in the area!

As always, it is a wonderful time at the Van Sciver home.  Great food, conversation and company…..even if she does get up at the crack of dawn and walk on the heels of her feet throughout the house in the wee morning hours.  Hi Nancy!  And we thank you and Rod for everything.

Honestly, as we were leaving Harry said, ‘there sure is a lot of life in that house’….and that is so true.  Amazing family.  Always planning/doing something to fill each moment of the day.  i had to take several naps.

And it was a complete pleasure to finally meet Jed and get to know his lovely girlfriend Priscilla.  We had such a good time.  Thank you again for having us.
