July 19 - Scituate, MA to Boston, MA (Boston Waterboat Marina in Boston Harbor)
Very excited - heading into Boston to meet up with Anna Jean and friends. Plus, Boston is one hell of a great town. The harbor is SO busy with so much going on….
Anna was there for her college roommate’s baby shower. The plan was for them to come onboard for cocktails….so i’m thinking 6 ish….and i also bought some dinner fixings if’n they decided to stay and/or were starving.
We arrived around 2 or 3 and went in to pay the harbor master and take a look around the town to see where we were in order to best guide Anna and gang in… So when i called her to announce the plan she said they were 10 minutes away and would be right over! ha….so much for the planned hors d’oeuvres.
Anna and her gang were waiting on the docks when we got back to the marina…Anna could see our boat moored out in the harbor. Big hugs ensued!! We made two dinghy rides into the boat because there was 8 of us total. All did great coming aboard and we settled up on the bow for the best view of Boston’s north end. The boat was not idle and was very much rocking and rolling from all the harbor activity…ferries, water taxis, fishing boats, Godzilla Fast Ride, etc..etc.. Everyone did quite well except for Anna Jean who felt a bit queasy but managed to have a sip or two of champagne they brought aboard. We had a great visit and Harry got to provide a tour of his boat which he loves to do…
